Evangelism
In YWAM – DF we face evangelism not only as a responsability, but as a lifestyle. A calling from God. We know that we reach a lot more if we dispose ourselves to the Lord. We open ourselves up to what is new. This way we do anything so that God might be known and we know him more as well. We understand that evangelism is to transfer the redeeming actions of God towards man, and it doesn’t matter the way we take to reach this goal. We all know that there is a saviour God in Brazil, but just a few have this solid posture beyong God’s objective “who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4).
Brasília’s society suffers more influence of post-modernity. So, it is noticeable in each individual that the great explanatory schemes felt in discredit beyond the worsening of certain characteristics such as individualism, consumerism and hedonist ethics.
So, 
how can we reach people that don’t believe in science or the religious system, who want to reach only their own objectives and don’t care about those who are left behind, people that just want to live for pleasure which can be achieved now since it won’t require an answer, commitment or attitude towards a superior being or the collective? Everyone wants to get rid of the responsabilities. Therefore, just as other great dictums of the world, the concept and the practise of evangelism are ruined, we can no longer use what we know because to the present society it will be only religious proselytism.

is is the challenge of the ministry of evangelism in YWAM-DF, to keep going through the way of Jesus’ commandments and to go further by presenting the new proposals “so that God may be all in all” (1 Corinthians 15:28) and for this cause we invite you to grow and allow God to grow in you, making The kingdom of the Lord take form in this world, starting from each heart. We function as a laboratory that tests many experiences to come to a formula, not of how evangelism is supposed to be done to be effective, but we will come to a mixture, always open to extras, of everything that can be done in this purpose.
We have had plenty of experiences in the most diverse fields, drawing projects and events which aim to promote open and sincere interaction with society through cultural, artistic and polical expressions of justice, social transformation and a lot more.
Now we challenge you to act and develop this ministry with us, what you already have, your experiences and methods will add for us, and we will be always totally avaiable so serve with what we learn and use. Get informed and participate of our events. Invite our ministry to act in your church and city firming solid partnerships in the purpose of going beyond, knowing God and making Him known.
