DTS July the 30th

This is a time in history when the missionary action done by the youth will be determinant: “the fourth mission wave”.

Brazil has a great responsibility in this new worldly scenario and you can be used by God to do his will in this generation.

Considering the need for change in the way we approach the post-modern urban population to proclaim the good news Urban Missions DTS will offer training for those who recognise the emergency of being response to this reality.

We want to challenge you to participate of this school.

But what is DTS?

DTS (Discipleship Training School) is the initial school that YWAM (Youth With A Mission) offers.

It’s a school that exists practically in all parts of the world, serving as a referential for those who want to join the mission in short, medium or long term.

It is a chance to experience life with God as never before. It’s an intense, rewarding and also fun experience of five months of learning: three months of theorist lessons with classes, workshops and ministrations and two months of practical missionary experience, travelling diverse places in Brazil and/ or the world, taking the message of the gospel in a dynamic and creative way.

You will not only study God’s word but discover how to make it practical in your life, learning to hear God’s voice and allowing him to change your heart. DTS is the beginning of a life of intense search for God’s face, is to know the joy of having intimacy with the creator.

The best of it all is that DTS seeks to train staff for missions, whether local or cross cultural, so, you can go ahead, go to the following level. To stay and get more involved with missions, developing or participating of projects and receiving the training that will help you to change and influence the world.

Therefore:

DTS is not a course strictly theological for its curriculum is made by practical studies of application to the student’s life that aims more the formation than mere information.

DTS is not an inner healing course, soul’s restoration or memory healing, for we believe these things are fruit of the relationship with God an of the sanctification process in the life of any Christian.

DTS is not a strictly mission course despite the involvement with missions during the school, this doesn’t mean that after the course the student might be ready to work with other cultures and societies (for that YWAM has specific training in the linguistic area and cross cultural missions).

What is recommended to do DTS?

•    Be of age;

•    Be a church member, recommended by its leadership;

•    Be a Christian for at least two years
