School Of Urban Missions

Because of the need of change in the way we approach to the urban people to proclaim the good news, we received direction from God to start a new school that by now we call School of Urban Missions. The intention is to offer training for those who recognise this need and understand that they are the answer for this question. We have great expectations about this project! We would like to challenge you to be a part of it with us. Down below we have some informations:

Vision: to discuss and create tools to develop our calling through projects that aim to reach the urban reality according to the perspective of modality (local church) and sodality (missionary field).

Date: From february the 8th until may the 8th of 2010.

Prerequisites:
Be of age;

Be a member in a local church;

To feel challenged to work in this area.

There are two ways to attend this school:
Full-time student: spends fulltime attending to this school, which means that the routine is totally dedicated to it. For these students we have hosting here in the base of YWAM-DF for the three months that the course will last. For sure this way is the best for the student to take the subjects we intend to transmit.

Non-resident student: attends to the school partially. This is for those that don’t have fulltime for the school. The main classes are at night and the non-resident student have the obligation to attend to them. They just don’t have to participate of the daily routine. The outreaches happen during the weekends. Non-redisent students must attend to at least seven of them.

General costs:
Full-time student

Register: 150 reais

Monthly fee: 400 reais

Total value: 1.200 reais

These values cover the expenditure with food, hosting and internal classes.

Non-resident Student
Register: 35 reais

Monthly fee: 100 reais

Total value: 300 reais

These values cover the expenditure with internal classes.

7. From the 22nd to the 26th of march – Christian Leadership
Pioneering: ministerial motivation;

Missionary life, vocation and career.

8. From the 29th of march to the 22nd of april – Pshychology
Behaviour and behaviour change;

Values and conter values.
